Armstrong Plays For England U19's

Coventry City loanee Adam Armstrong played for England U19's this afternoon in their international against Croatia in Zagreb.

Armstrong was left out of the starting eleven for the game against Germany but started against Croatia who took the lead in the 27th minute thanks to a penalty.

Armstrong, who is on loan at City from Newcastle United, took the captain's armband in the second half for a team which has Lee Carsley as a coach and Aidy Boothroyd as its manager.

England equalised with fifteen minutes to go through Josh Onomah of Tottenham and the game finished in a 1-1 draw.
