Arena Tram Voted Out

Coventry City Council have voted against a super tram that would have served the Arena.

Plans to run a "bus that thinks it's a tram" from Kenilworth,through Warwick University,Cov Station,The Swanswell,The Arena and onto Bedworth and finally Nuneaton starting possibly in 2008/2009,were voted against after Councillors heard about the £70m costs.

A new bus route with smarter than usual buses is now expected to take over the route.
