Coventry's bid to get back on the shortlist to host the only pilot super casino all but ended last night.

Regional Agency Advantage West Midlands have opted to back a bid from the National Exhibition Centre. Plans for the site at The Wheels Adventure Park would also include a £350m stadium which would become the new home of Birmingham City FC.

Coventry MP Jim Cunningham told the CET: "I am disappointed that they're not backing the Coventry bid." A smaller casino will still open at the Arena.
