Arena Gets The Go Ahead

Covsupport can exclusively reveal that a crowd of 8,500 was enough to test enough elements of the safety certificate at the Arena and the go-ahead has been given for 3,000 extra tickets for the game against Queens Park Rangers to go on sale on Friday morning.

A licence has been issued to admit 23,000 spectators but due to concerns of the police and other agencies, the full 32,500 capacity may yet be a while off.

There are a lot of immediate and cosmetic things that need to be done and builders Laing O'Rourke and Arena Coventry Limited will have to work flat out to ensure they are done.
