Arena Catering Outlets Face Closure

Catering outlets at the Arena have been warned that they face being closed. The move comes following complaints that The Compass Group who have already had two warnings,have been selling cans of Red Bull to the public inside the stadium. The selling of cans at football matches is against the Safety At Sports Grounds Act and it has been promised that action will be taken if this continues.

Meanwhile, there is concern that two showpiece local non-league cup finals may not now take place at the Arena.

The Coventry Charity Cup and Coventry Evening Telegraph Cup Finals both were part of the Highfield Road calendar and it had been thought that the Arena would automatically host both matches.

However, a comment in the Midweek Pink gives the impression that nothing has been confirmed by Arena Coventry Limited who have already put the block on any more reserve team matches at the Arena this season.
