The Administrator for Coventry City Football Club Ltd, Paul Appleton has said that CCFC Ltd is not without assets.
In a press statement, Mr Appleton who is a managing partner of David Rubin & Partners LLP who were appointed by SISU to look after CCFC Ltd whilst it is in administration said: "Much of the media coverage has been inaccurate and seemingly ill-informed.
"Contrary to what has been written and broadcast, CCFC Ltd is not completely without assets. The primary asset of the Company is the lease and licence for the Ricoh Arena.
"In respect of the Football League Golden Share, solicitors acting for the Club’s holding company have asserted a claim to it and I am investigating this and other matters.
"As for the Players contracts and registrations, documents registered with the Football League show they are held by the holding company."
