The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship game against Bristol City on Boxing Day is Phil Gibbs from Solihull.
Mr Gibbs is an assistant head teacher in Kings Heath and started his refereeing career whilst at College. He joined the league list in 2008.
He has not had a City first game before. This season he has had 21 matches (six Championship matches) and shown 66 yellows and two red.
His assistants are Rob Merchant from Staffordshire and David Plowright from Nottinghamshire . The Fourth Official is Nick Hobbis from Birmingham.
