Former member of the 1987 FA Cup winning squad Steve Sedgley and his wife Nicola have had warrants issued for their arrest by a court in Barbados. The pair were due in a magistrates' court on Monday but failed to appear.

The case, which has been adjourned until September 8th, centres around an alleged incident over a parking space at a bar in July last year. Sedgley was charged with assaulting Wanda McClean and Shelley Dear and using racist language against them and a third woman Kimberley Rock. Nicola Sedgley was accused of assaulting Dear and racially abusing the other two women. A previous court appearance released the Sedgleys, who now live in Mount Standfast James on the Caribbean island, on £5,000 bail and prevented them from leaving Barbados.

Craig Bellamy has,as predicted on this site back in March, signed for his former Wales international team boss Mark Hughes. The striker who publically fell out with Newcastle boss Graeme Souness and was loaned out to Celtic last season, has joined Blackburn Rovers on a four year deal.

Meanwhile, Christian Negouai has been released by Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce. The midfielder who made one league appearance and one FA Cup appearance for the Sky Blues last season is believed to have agreed a deal with Belgium based Standard Liege.
