Faroes lose again

Claus Jorgensen was on the end of another defeat as his Faroe Islands were beaten 2-0 at home by the Republic Of Ireland.

On a pitch not up to the correct FIFA width and in fog and mist, Ireland who were without the injured Robbie Keane took the lead through Ian Harte with a 51st minute penalty and a strike by Kevin Kilbane seven minutes later. With ten minutes to go, City midfielder Claus Jorgensen was replaced by Tor-Ingar Akselsen.
