Another Conference Season For Morrell And Wrexham

Former Coventry City forward Andy Morrell and his Wrexham team will face another season of Conference football after they were beaten 2-0 by Newport County.

Morrell named himself and former City captain Stephen Wright In the starting line up, with Dele Adebola on the bench for the Conference Premier Play-Off against Newport County at Wembley Stadium.

Morrell played for 67 minutes of a game which saw the deadlock finally broken in the 85th minute when Newport's Christian Jolley scored from close range, firing high into the the net.

Three minutes into stoppage time and it was 2-0 to The Exiles when Aaron O'Connor had a shot saved by Chris Maxwell and O'Connor was first to the loose ball to score and give Newport County a place in the Football League next season along with Mansfield Town.
