Wayne Andrews has said that he is pleased to be back playing after an injury ended his loan spell at Bristol City. Last season was a dramatic season for the striker signed from Crystal Palace.

After scoring in the friendly against Boavista, he was injured before returning to score against Barnsley. Defending a fellow player against Micky Adams saw him loaned to Sheffield Wednesday and then Bristol City where he picked up a knee injury which required an operation.

Said Andrews to the CT: I had a run out at Nuneaton which was my first game in four or five months so I am just trying to get everything back together. "The programme I am doing is something like two weeks worth of running in a week so it has been really intense on my knees and they were quite sore after the match to be honest.

"I had a beak on my patella tendon on my left knee cut away to the bone which is why I was out for three months, so I am just trying to get back to basics really."
