Wayne Andrews could be joining Bristol Rovers according to Rovers Boss and former Sky Blue Paul Trollope.

The striker, loaned out on a number of occasions during his two season spell at the Ricoh Arena, was City Reserves top scorer last season but was not retained by Chris Coleman back in April.

Rovers watched the striker in reserve team action on a couple of occasions and had him on loan where he was injured in a match against Yeovil Town.

Said Trollope to his club's website: "Wayne is in the late stages of rehabilitation from his knee injury, the one he picked up against Yeovil when he was with us at the end of last season.

"He's joined us with a view to becoming a permanent signing, and he is of interest to us. We beat off a lot of competition when he came to us on loan in March, and although it didn't work out, we've kept in touch and if the rehabilitation goes well then we'll be looking to secure a deal.

"The fact he's here shows he'd like to join us, and if we can sort things out then I think he'll be a good addition to the squad."
