According to an EFL Voting Tracker, Coventry City's Chris Anderson or the club have not said about anything about the MD and Vice Chairman voted at the Football League AGM about allowing Premier League B clubs into the JPT.

The Sky Blues had been mandated at an SCG Meeting in 2015 to oppose any changes to the format due to it lessening the chances of City winning the competition or reaching a money making final

However, the vote went through with Blackpool, Carlisle United,
Chesterfield, Exeter City, Grimsby Town, Notts County, Oxford United, Peterborough United, Scunthorpe United, Southend United and Stevenage known to have voted in favour and AFC Wimbledon,
Accrington Stanley, Bristol Rovers, Hartlepool United, Luton Town, Port Vale, Portsmouth, Morecambe and Fleetwood Town, known to have voted against it.
