Anderson: No-One Wants To Buy The Club

Last updated : 02 March 2016 By CNS Staff

Coventry City MD Chris Anderson has said that SISU have not discussed selling their interest in Coventry City FC.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Simon Gilbert after the club announced their annual accounts, having filed them to ensure that there were no transfer embargos, Mr Anderson said: “I have never heard anyone associated with Sisu or Joy Seppala talk about selling the club. It has never come up.

“I have only heard her talk about how to make the club a success.

“Actually, I don’t know if there is an exit at the moment. The behaviour has been consistently to put more money into the club and become more involved in the business. To me, those aren’t the actions of someone looking to get out.

“Nobody wants to buy the club at the moment anyway. It’s not worth anything.

“If we got to the Premier League that might be different.

“None of the money we pay out goes to pay for anything to do with the ongoing Ricoh Arena legal proceedings, that’s all to do with Sisu.”
