John Aloisi is being linked up for a shock with a return to Portsmouth. The Australian striker left Portsmouth in 1998 to join the Sky Blues.

The striker who netted for his country in a Confederations Cup game against Germany earlier in the week, was sold by Bryan Richardson to Spainsh side Osasuna but has been released by the Spanish Cup Finalists. Blackburn and Sunderland are believed also to be tracking the striker but Portsmouth are believed to stand a better chance.

Meanwhile, there is gossip linking Eric Black to the vacant manager's job at Millwall.
