Former Coventry City defender Sam Allardyce has signed a new two year deal to manage West Ham United.

Allardyce had said that he would only sign a new deal if The Hammers were safe and with West Ham eight points clear of the relegation zone, has decided to commit himself to the West Ham job for another two years.

However, Allardyce knows that nothing is guaranteed in football and told BBC Sport; "The sack is always around the corner, that's how it is these days."
