Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth has said that he wants to beat Coventry City tonight at Adams Park (7.45pm) in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy First Round fixture.

Ainsworth told Andy Carswell of the Bucks Free Press: "It may be the ones on the fringe could get a look in. We want to win on Tuesday, no doubt about that. I want to beat Coventry and I believe any XI I can put out will have a chance against Coventry.

"Tuesday's going to be another important game for me. If there's any knocks or injuries - there were a couple limping at the end - we'll have to address that.

"There's certain positions slightly older than others and we'll have to address that, but me and Baz [goalkeeping coach Barry Richardson] definitely won't be playing.

"The rules state you have to play a strong team. We want to beat Coventry. A cup run's great - winning breeds winning."

"Hopefully we can get the ball down and start playing some of the stuff we've shown so far."
