Nigel Adkins has lost his job as manager of Sheffield United.
The 51 year old who had been in the job for less than a year has parted company with The Blades following a meeting with their owners and United finishing eleventh in the League One table.
Chris Wilder, the Northampton Town manager, is being tipped as a likely replacement.
