Adams On Plymouth

Sensibly Micky Adams was forced to choose his words after his side were denied a victory at Plymouth Argle.

The City boss said: "The game was won and I'm very disappointed. "I've got to be very careful how I choose my words but there was an obvious foul on Shaun Goater in the build-up to the goal that the referee should have seen. It was a very poor performance from the referee and we should have won this game.

"I've got no complaints about any of my players. We always knew this was a tough old place to come to but we got a goal just before half time and I can't remember Luke Steele having to make too many saves in the second half so we defended very well.

"I'm sure a couple of my players will be in trouble and I wanted to get onto the pitch as soon as I could afterwards because they worked ever so hard and the game was won - to draw it was hugely disappointing for all of them."
