Micky Adams said afterwards: "It was a game we should have won. "When they're down to ten men we should win the game but on chances alone we should have won it as well.

"When we go down to ten men we've got to be brighter in those situations, pass the ball quicker, get the ball wide and we failed to do that but having said that we still created chances.

"There was a couple of blocks, Wisey hit the bar and the chances were there for us. It just wasn't our day in front of goal."

On the tackle by Patrick Kisnorbo which flattened Andy Whing,Adams added: "I thought it was a disgraceful tackle that deserved a straight red. Anybody that defends a player who attempts that has got it wrong. I was five yards away from it and he's gone over the top of the ball with two feet. There was no attempt to play the ball."
