Adams On Ibiza

Micky Adams was pretty non-commital after the win over Huddersfield in the Copa Ibiza.

"It was a useful workout and we got out of it exactly what we wanted," said Adams. "The emphasis is still on fitness and I am not too worried about results.

"I think Huddersfield were fantastic. I know Peter Jackson well and he has got a youthful side who were a credit to their club and there wasn't much between the teams.

"It is nice to win but it is too early to talk about performances because we want them fit and organised.

"They are not sharp, that's for sure, but hopefully that will come. Some players got longer than others and, in hindsight, perhaps we could have done with a few more bodies here.

Meanwhile, there was violence on the Spanish Island for the third night running. One Coventry City supporter was hit by a police baton in ugly scenes at the end of the game with a number of incidents reported over the last three nights.
