Micky Adams said following City's 2-1 win at Hull City: "Overall, I'm delighted with the character we've shown yet again and that was a nice win. We're looking at the top end of the table for the first time this season. "We got bullied a little in the first-half of the game and I wasn't happy with that. "I thought if we could get the ball out wide to James Scowcroft and Gary McSheffrey then we could pick up the tempo and in the end we came out as worthy winners."

The City boss was full of praise for Dennis Wise who was struck by a bottle late in the game, saying:"He's just a quality man as far as I'm concerned. "People have their opinions about him but they say class is permanent and I think he showed it there with his goal and his general performance. "Dennis is on his way to hospital with a shoulder injury. He got clothes-lined, which is fair enough - perhaps he deserved it! "He's had two games for us and been fantastic. Dennis is Dennis - love him or hate him - but as Coventry fans we all love him."
