Coventry City manager Micky Adams said after the Sky Blues first away win of the season at Hull City: "It was an ugly away win and both teams
struggled.

"We changed our system today to try to get a clean sheet, and we would have taken a 0-0, but a piece of magic won it for us.

"We might have to stifle teams a bit this season, but if we keep getting 1-0 wins I'll be happy."

On goalscorer Kevin Thornton, Adams added: "The boy doesn't lack confidence and has the ability to open up teams. "He knows why he's not been playing but there has been a change in attitude towards his work."
