Speaking after City's 3-2 defeat at Nuneaton Borough last night, Micky Adams told the club website: "I don't think people should read too much into pre-season results.
"We would have obviously preferred to win the match but most importantly, the purpose of playing these matches is to give the players the amount of games they need before the season kicks off."
The match saw another goalkeeping calamity and Adams will step up his efforts to bring in a new keeper. His heart is set on Marton Fulop and Adams has vowed to continue to try and sign the Hungarian until there is no chance of a deal.
