Adams Fury After Win

Coventry City manager Micky Adams said he felt hurt following the reaction of some City supporters following the decision to replace Leon McKenzie with Wayne Andrews during City's 1-0 win at Barnsley.

The striker signed in the summer from Crystal Palace went on to score the winner seconds later

An upset Adams said afterwards: "The fans are entitled to their opinion, they pay their hard earned cash and travelled in numbers today.
"We were playing like we wanted to but we lacked a bit of spark. I can understand a bit of the frustration. "They look at the league table and expect us to come here and turn Barnsley over, but it's not as simple as that."
"I do want to do the best tactically. Whether the players or fans like it or not, this was an inspired substitution.

"If the fans want me to go then this is the way to get rid of me."
