Micky Adams has made his first signing in Portsmouth defender/midfielder Richard Duffy.
The Wales U21 international joined the South Coast side from Swansea a year ago but has made only one substitute appearance.
Duffy who is 19, then went on loan to Burnley playing nine games and scoring once.
He will arrive in Coventry on Friday on a three month loan and will go straight into the squad for the trip to Newcastle United.
