"It was a calculated risk for Dennis going into a division he didn't know a lot about," said Adams to BBC Sport. "But it's not surprise he's done well. After all, he was a success at Millwall and took them to the FA Cup final.
"Dennis felt Swindon were a team that should be challenging and should be in the top half of the league. It's pleasing to see him do so well. We miss him."
