ACTUALLY YOU ARE TO BLAME

City Chairman Mike McGinnity has angered supporters with his “I’m Not To Blame” response to the lack of “instant success” that Peter Reid and his team have produced so far this season.

The West Brom supporting Chairman who was so scared that someone might actually want to take over the club, he hired a private detective to check out Mr Dhinsa, has made a career at Coventry City of blaming others to deflect attention and fans anger away from himself.

Whilst it is true that the players on the pitch are responsible for their actions, seven of the players who started the game at Gillingham were brought in by the man McGinnity appointed to manage the club.

For that decision alone, Mike McGinnity was totally responsible. Unlike now, there were no calls for Eric Black’s head, City supporters were happy with what Black was achieving and the decision defied belief when it was announced on May 3rd.

McGinnity admits that it was a gamble in appointing a manager who spent most of the summer working for the BBC but with the move to a new stadium, something else Mr McGinnity must take his share of the blame for, the club needed stability far more.

Not helped by the Board failing to properly fund the manager who was forced to sell Calum Davenport for a pittance. Peter Reid’s whose commitment to the club have also been severely questions has taken the club down to 19th place and have lost eleven league matches.

Instant Success, you’re having a laugh. This is not taking the club forward by any stretch of the imagination and relegation is nowhere near being avoided.

Mr McGinnity, If you sincerely want this club to progress and become one that people want to be a part off, then hold your hands up, admit your failings and use the new year as one of change for the better.

After all, you have more chance of getting back your investments which we all know is the reason you are still at the club.
