ACL Hit Back At Fisher

Arena Coventry Limited have launched a stinging attack on Tim Fisher, accusing him deliberately spinning a web.

In a statement, covered by the Coventry Telegraph, ACL have said: “Tim Fisher's his statements are causing confusion among Sky Blues supporters at a time when the future of the club itself is at stake.

“It is unclear even on whose authority Mr Fisher speaks given that the club is in administration and the administrator is supposedly now in charge of affairs.

"Neither ACL nor Coventry City Council were responsible for the act of putting the club into administration as Mr Fisher suggests.

"It was Sisu and Sisu alone who took that action. It is also utterly untrue to suggest that Coventry City Council had plans to force the club out of Coventry.

“Mr Fisher claims that Sisu negotiated in good faith. To make that claim having shaken hands with the ACL Board on a Heads of Terms Agreement which would have led to a resolution of the whole dispute only to then renege on it a matter of days later is frankly ridiculous.

“It is also time for Mr Fisher to start listening to the fans who want their club to stay here in Coventry rather than commissioning commercial property agencies, as we understand the situation, to make inquiries about sites in outside places including Nuneaton.”
