Coventry City manager Andy Thorn feels that a win for City over Barnsley on Saturday would have other teams looking over their shoulders.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player at the club’s weekly press conference at Ryton, City boss Andy Thorn said."Really disappointed after Saturday but our home form over last five games joint top of the league so we need to turn in a performance and get three points.

"A win against a tough side could result in us getting out of the bottom three for the first time in a while so we are going to give it a good go."

"We have a few players out there back from injury now. We've got players looking around trying to work out who will play Saturday so that's nice to have.

"Barnsley are good side that use Davis as a targetman up front so its important we maintain a high tempo and use the ball when we have it.

"If we can win on Saturday then everyone will be looking over their shoulders because there's other teams coming into it at a rapid rate of knots. If we can keep going teams will be looking over their shoulders.

"Richard Wood, Danny Ireland and Hermann Hreidarsson will definitely be out of it for Saturday but its the strongest numbers we've had fit for a while.

"This season was always going to be tough. There was always going to be inconsistencies and we can deal with it two ways...we can throw in the towel or we can roll our sleeves up and fight and that's what we are doing and will carry on doing."
