A New Record Low For City

Tim Fisher cannot say he was not warned that Coventry City supporters would be staying away from matches at Sixfields.

Supporters have stayed away in their thousands following Mr Fisher's decision to hand back the keys to the Ricoh Arena and take the club to Northampton in order to get matches played and last night's announcement of 1603 tickets sold for the game against Carlisle United, the method used by Coventry City as their attendance, was the lowest gate for a City league game since 1925.

This new low gate means that nine out of the ten lowest ten lowest crowds in league games have been recorded at Sixfields this season and highlghts why Coventry City need to be back playing in Coventry, not the Coventry area as soon as possible.
