A Look at Kidderminster Harriers

Well, Coventry City missed out on an FA Cup Third Round tie with Aston Villa and have been handed a home tie agaiinst Kidderminster Harriers.

Kidderminster's home ground is Hoo Road, Aggborough and they are in the Conference Premier Division after slipping out of the Football League.

Dean Yates side have Curzon Ashton 2-0 yesterday and won 5-1 in the final qualifying round at Kings Lynn and then beat Cambridge United 1-0 in the first round.

The last time, they played Coventry City in a compeititive match was in a Birmingham League game on Christmas Day 1907. Singers and Coventry City have played them 28 times in Birmingham League matches with the first coming on September 1st 1894 in a 4-4 draw.

Singers/CCFC have won on 14 occasions, with four draws and ten defeats.

The sides have met in the FA Cup. The first occasion was in November 1895 with a 2-2 draw at Coventry in a Second Qualifying Round game. Harriers won the replay in Kidderminster 2-1.

The second was in November 1902 when a Third Round Qualifying tie saw a 2-2 draw in Coventry and a 3-2 defeat for City in the replay on December 1st 1902.

The sides have met in the Birmingham Senior Cup with Coventry drawing at home 0-0 on September 18th 1905 and losing the replay 1-0 on October 4th.

In Friendlies, City won 5-1 at Kidderminster in August 2006 and by a 6-0 score-line in August 1965, also at Aggborough.
