With Wales having opted for Gary Speed as their new National Team manager, former Coventry City manager Chris Coleman will take over as manager of Larissa in Greece.

So thanks to contacts in Greece, we have a brief look at the club, Mr Coleman is going to.

Larissa is the fifth biggest city in Greece (around 200,000 citizens) between Thessaloniki and Athens (170km from Thessaloniki and 330km from Athens).

They have won the league in 1986 and 2 cups (1985 and 2007) and are the only team apart from the Athens based Panathinaikos, Olympiakos AEK and PAOK who has won the league in 60 years.

However, the team faced a lot of problems and played for many years in the
Second and Third division.

They are currently bottom of the Greek League.
