A Good Work Out - Pressley

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley felt that the game against AEL Kalloni despite both sides having to play for sixty minutes with ten men after both sides had players sent off, the referee allowed them to be replaced and then another player from each side was sent off before the half hour mark of a 0-0 draw.

Speaking to Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph, Pressley said: “The opening exchanges were excellent and I was really pleased with the intensity of how we started.

“Obviously bringing it down to ten v ten was a good workout for us, but it was a game we dominated and got a great deal out of. In the end it was a good performance but just couldn’t break them down. They were well organised and well drilled. Almost the entire second half was played in their half and we were in total control of the game.

“I was really pleased with the application and work-rate, and keeping another clean sheet which is two from the three games, which I think is important.

“There was a lot of really good football in the final phase but we just couldn’t find a breakthrough.”
