A Good Exercise - Mowbray

Coventry City manager Tony mowbray has described his side's 2-1 win at Nuneaton Town as a great exercise.

Mowbray told Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph: “It was a good exercise, it’s all about getting the fitness going in the pre-season.

“There were a lot of young players there today, a lot who are still a fair way off our first team, but they all contributed very well and applied themselves to the job.

“We will try different systems throughout the pre-season and as we sign more players that system might change.

“I have always said that if you have two fantastic centre-forwards why wouldn’t you play them both. What’s the point of leaving one on the bench if you think they can both score 20 goals a season. If your best three players are your centre-halves then you maybe play them, so let’s see what we recruit.

“It’s very hard and very difficult to get the ones that we want but there’s a long way to go and I am sure the face of the squad will change as the weeks go on.”
