A Fair Result - Smith

Walsall manager Dean Smith has said that the 0-0 draw against Coventry City was a fair result.

Smith told the Express And Star: “We had some good dominance in the first-half where we got into some decent areas and had we scored at that stage, it would have been game over.

“They were always a threat because they are a big, physical team and we had to defend a lot of balls into the box after the break.

“The positive is that it is another clean sheet but, with our dominance of the first-half, it was disappointing that we couldn’t also leave here with three points.

"We’re a difficult team to beat and whilst we know that we need to score more goals, things are progressing well.

“It’s another point and now we have the chance to recharge our batteries before our next game.”
