Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has described his side's 3-2 victory over Peterborough United as a big result.
City were two goals down at half time but in the second half, goals from Ryan Haynes, Jim O'Brien and Frank Nouble gave the Sky Blues a much needed win.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole, Pressley said: “This is the first of thousands of steps this football club has to take moving forward. I’ll never be satisfied until I see us return to where we should rightfully be.
“I’m delighted with today’s result – it was a big result – but I’m very much aware of how much hard work lies in front of us and I said to the players that we’ll be in morning and afternoon every day this week to turn this corner.
“It was so important, not just to get the win but to get it in the manner we did.
“There was a clear message at half-time – we can’t get anxious, we must keep believing in what we do because football matches can change very, very quickly.
“In the first half we actually got ourselves into some really good positions but when the delivery came it didn’t seem as if we had that belief in getting on the end of things at the right time.
“It wasn’t a sparkling first-half performance but we certainly didn’t deserve to be two goals down and when that happens its easy to think ‘nothing’s going right for us.’
“That wasn’t the message in the dressing room and it wasn’t the response from the football – we understand that in football, and in life, you have to make your own luck.
“I’m really proud of the players because it’s a situation we’ve experienced a lot of late, when you’re two goals down at half-time, and it’s very easy to go under.
“ But the response, the energy of the group was magnificent. We had real belief we could turn it around; at no point were we feeling sorry for ourselves because nobody else will feel sorry for us and the only way we’ll get out of this is by hard work and perseverance.”
