Seventy four per cent of those who responded to a poll on this site would support safe standing if it is was introduced at the Ricoh Arena.

The Football Supporters Federation have been spearheading a campaign for the introduction of safe standing areas which are common place in stadiums around Europe and a number of clubs including Aston Villa, Bristol City and Crystal Palace have given their support to initial trials to give their fans a choice of being able to sit or stand at a game.

Whether it would be introduced at the Ricoh Arena remains a matter for debate as Arena owners Arena Coventry Limited who see the Ricoh as a conference centre and hotel with a stadium bolted on, remain at loggerheads with Coventry City FC over the rent and nothing to benefit the football club is likely to be done until the rent argument is resolved to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
