Former Coventry City first team coach Steve Kean is favourite to become the new manager of Blackburn Rovers.

Blackburn's new owners have cited the assistant to Chris Coleman at Coventry City as a man with the right potential to replace former Coventry City defender Sam Allardyce who was sacked on Monday.

Kean is favourite with all the bookmakers with odds being offered from 11/8 to 3/1 of him landing the Ewood Park job.

Two former Sky Blues in Martin Jol and Dave Jones are second and third favourites.

As with any managerial appointment, there are the stupid bets and Bet Fred are offering odds of 40/1 on current Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd  being appointment at Blackburn.
