It's World Cup Qualifiers this weekend and a number of Coventry supporters will be heading off to Old Trafford to see England play Wales (BBC-1 3PM) in their first meeting since 1984.

One player who played in that match twenty years ago is Dave Phillips and he will be in charge of City U16's who take on Tottenham at Ryton. After their 4-1 home win over Chelsea, the 1987 FA Cup hero is hoping for the same sort of performance in a game that kicks off at Ryton at 11am.

At the same time and at the same venue, another Cup Final hero Steve Ogrizovic along with Brian Borrows will take charge of City U18's in their game also against Tottenham. The Academy have won their last three games with striker Kevin Thornton, who starred in City Reserves midweek win over Crystal Palace, scoring two goals in all three matches.

The weekend should also see international outings for Stern John against St Kitts on Sunday and Mexico on Wednesday,Claus Jorgensen against Cyprus and the Republic of Ireland,Luke Steele for England U20's v Holland at Huddersfield and possibly Graham Barrett who is in the Republic Of Ireland squad to play France (live on Channel 5 7.45pm) and The Faroe Islands on Wednesday.

On Sunday, Coventry City Ladies travel to Stalybridge Celtic to play Stockport County in a re-arranged WPL Northern Division fixture (2pm) with manager Mark Phillips hoping for a repeat of the performance that saw his side beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 last weekend.

Coventry City Ladies Reserves, who defeated Aston Villa 2-0 in their last game, play Doncaster Rovers at Coventry University's Westwood Heath ground at 2pm.
