WHO ARE THEY?
Formed in 1879 from an amalgamation between St Luke's School and Blakenhall Wanderers cricket team to become Wolverhampton Wanderers (1923) Ltd, New limited companies were formed in 1982 and 1986 after the club was close to folding.

Wolverhampton Wanderers had been Champions of the five Football League Divisions they have played in. Three times they have won the old FL Div 1, the last being in 1958-59. They have won Division 2 twice,Division Three North,Division 3 (in 1988/89) and Division 4 in 1987/88.

They have also won the FA Cup on four occasions, the last was in 1960. Twice League Cup winners,Wolves have also won the Texaco Cup,Sherpa Van Trophy and were UEFA Cup runners-up in 1971/72.

Wolves moved to their Molineux home in 1889 after playing at Dudley Road,John Harper's Field and Windmill Field.

This is Wolves third season in the Championship and their current manager is Mick McCarthy who replaced Glenn Hoddle in the summer. Former Sky Blues at Wolves are Jay Bothroyd and Gary Breen.

RECENT FORM
City beat Southend 3-2 on Friday night whilst a Jay Bothroyd goal gave Wolves a 1-0 home win on Saturday against Colchester. Wolves are sixth in the table, City are 11th.

This will be the 58th game between the two sides. City have won on twenty six occasions with thirteen draws.

The last league game between the two sides saw a 2-2 draw at Molineux on April 8th this year. Paul Ince and Colin Cameron put Wolves two nil up but Stern John and Gary McSheffrey drew City level.

TEAM NEWS
Micky Adams will be without Mikkel Bischoff,Wayne Andrews and Stuart Giddings. Marcus Hall picked up a knee injury in the win at Southend and is doubtful.

For Wolves, Carl Cort is again a doubt but Gabor Gyepes, Jackie McNamara and Kevin O'Connor will definitely miss the game.

The currently appointed referee is Mr L.Mason. His assistants are G.Atkins & M.Scholes. The fourth official is Andy Hall. Mr Mason's last game as a referee for a game involving the Sky Blues was a 3-2 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday last season.

HOW TO GET THERE

By Car
M6 junction 10, take the A454 (via Willenhall) to Wolverhampton Ring Road. At first ring road island, take the fourth exit A449 to Stafford. Straight on at next two sets of traffic lights. Filter right at third set into Waterloo Road and ground is 500 yards on your right.

By Train
The train station is less than half a mile away. Both Virgin and Central trains from Coventry stop at Wolverhampton.

By Metro
The Metro from Birmingham Snow Hill terminates at Wolverhampton St Georges. The journey time is 35 minutes. The last one to make kick off leaves Birmingham at 18.50. 21.54, 22.06 or 22.18 back after the game. http://www.travelmetro.co.uk/
