Sky Blues On The Road - Southampton

Last updated : 03 March 2006 By Covsupport

Coventry City make their first ever first team visit to Southampton’s St Marys Stadium in a Championship fixture.

Former Saints old boy Micky Adams will be hoping that Robert Page over-comes a groin injury that kept him out of Wales midweek friendly. Adie Williams is available after serving a one game ban. Michael Doyle should be fit after taking two clatterings from Burnley players last week.

Southampton, who were gutted by the deaths of legends Peter Osgood and Charlie Wayman this week, are without Martin Crainie and Djamel Belmadi. Matt Oakley is doubtful.

City have played Southampton more times than any other club in the division. This is the 108th meeting between the two sides and will be refereed by P.Dowd from Staffordshire who has not been in charge of a City game this season. City have beaten Southampton on 39 occasions with 33 draws. The game at the Arena this season produced a 1-1 draw.

Tickets priced at £26 for adults are available and include bus travel to St Marys Stadium.
