Sky Blues On The Road - Reading

Last updated : 18 February 2005 By Covsupport

A difficult trip to Reading faces Micky Adams as City try to get some points on the board and pull away from the relegation zone.

Ian Bennett who joined the Sky Blues on loan from Birmingham City in midweek looks likely to start the game in goal replacing Luke Steele who has not had the best of experiences over the last few months.

Micky Adams told the club website: "Luke has done ever so well and he will be a good keeper. "But it's not fair to shoulder him with the responsibility at this point and it'll do him good to take a step backwards."

Captain Stephen Hughes will not play after going off at half-time of last week’s defeat by Burnley with concussion, but left back Richard Duffy is available to play.

Claus Jorgensen who missed the Burnley game following the tragic death of his brother in law is also available for selection in a team that Micky Adams want to go to Reading and attack.

Adams other new signing - Trevor Benjamin is likely to start on the bench and may get a run-out at some point.

Reading boss Steve Coppell is expected to give a run-out to leading scorer Dave Kitson and field him alongside Les Ferdinand. The Biscuitmen have not won for seven league matches and are unlikely to risk Leicester reject Martin Keown. Lloyd Owusu could also return.
