Sky Blues On The Road - Luton

Last updated : 13 April 2006 By Covsupport
The penultimate away game of the season, sees a trip down the M1 to Luton Town.

Micky Adams has no fresh injury worries and will be able to name his strongest side. Meanwhile, Hatters boss Mike Newall who has yet to confirm his future at Kenilworth Road is without Chris Coyne who is having surgery for a knee injury. Also out are Paul Underwood (broken arm), Kevin Nicholls (medial ligaments) and Sol Davis (thigh). Doubtful is defender Russell Perrett who has an instep problem.
Speaking to Sky Blue World about the game, Micky Adams said: "After the wonderful night that Richard Shaw enjoyed on Tuesday everyone is buoyant and looking forward to the next game. We play Luton, who are a confident side at the moment on Saturday, but I think we showed against Wolves that we can more than match any team in this division. "You don't get a friendly with Celtic. Their fans demand that they go out and perform in every game so to get a result, though it doesn't mean anything, was nice for the lads and for the supporters. But it's the bread and butter on Saturday."

"Mike Newell has put together a confident squad. They came up and brought all that confidence and belief into this season and they are top 10, and we want to finish in the top 10 if we can. "I think between now and the end of the season we will do a certain amount of experimenting with the team, but I'm always mindful that we need to get results and that's what we will be trying to do.”

This is the 68th meeting between the two sides. City have won on 34 occasions with thirteen draws. Earlier in the season, City beat Luton 1-0 at the Arena, but have not won at Kenilworth Road since August 1987. The last was a 2-0 defeat in the League Cup in 1998 when City lost 2-0 and Dion Dublin refused to play in the game, so he was not cup-tied for his new club Aston Villa.
Tickets are priced at £20.50 for adults and it is unreserved seating for City fans in the Oak Road Stand.
