WHO ARE THEY?
Formed at a meeting in Ipswich Town Hall in 1878 as the Ipswich Association FC. They amalgamated with in 1888 with the local rugby club before dropping them in 1893. Ipswich first entered the league in 1938 and beat Southend 4-2 at home in their first game. They have won what is now the Championship in 1961-62,Division 2 and Division 3 South as well as the FA Cup in 1978. They have played in all three European competitions and won the UEFA Cup in 1981.This is their fifth season of second tier football following relegation from the Premiership in 2002.

RECENT FORM
City beat Norwich 3-0 on Saturday whilst Ipswich beat Southampton 2-1 Portman Road.

This will be the 72nd game between the two clubs. City have won 19 with 21 draws with Ipswich having scored twenty one more times than City.
Last season, City came back to earn a 2-2 draw at Portman Road in another night match. Darren Currie and Jimmy Juan gave Ipswich a two nil lead but City drew back thanks to goals from Gary McSheffrey and Lillian Nallis.

TEAM NEWS
Stuart Giddings has a hamstring injury ,Mikkel Bischoff has an ankle injury as does Wayne Andrews. Micky Adams has Leon McKenzie available but with Kevin Kyle and Stern John both scoring, the former Norwich striker may only be on the bench.

Ipswich are likely to bring back Fabian Wilnis and possibly give a debut to Sylvain Legwinski. Gavin Williams should also be fit to play.

Adrian Heath said: "Ipswich are very good at home, they always have been and they are a good footballing team so we have to make sure we get about them and show the same commitment as we did on Saturday. "They'll take a lot of confidence from the win over Southampton and they've got very good players. They do very well at home and we know it's going to be difficult, but we are ready for them."

CCFC Coach will leave Car Park C at Arena at 2pm. Only one coach is running and it is understood that it is now full.

A14 to Ipswich then follow signs for Ipswich West. Go past the Post House Hotel traffic lights. At the third set of lights turn into West End Road. The ground is a quarter of a mile on the left.
