WHO ARE THEY?
Formed in 1904, the club rented out Hull Rugby League's ground. The Rugby League did ban football clubs from playing on RL grounds but by then Hull City were at Anlaby Road yards away from their latest KC Stadium home. Their first Football League game was in 1905. Close to bankruptcy on a number of occasions, Hull have been transformed into a club on the up thanks to two successive promotions

RECENT FORM
City were beaten 3-1 at Hereford on Tuesday whilst Hull won 2-1 at home to Tranmere Rovers also in the League Cup.

This will be the 36th game between the two sides. City have won 13 and drawn seven. However, City did win last season at the KC Stadium, goals from Dennis Wise and Stern John brought a 2-1 victory.

The referee is Mr N.D. Swarbrick, his assistants are P.Simpson and C.Evans

TEAM NEWS
Stuart Giddings and David McNamee have hamstring injuries,Mikkel Bischoff an ankle injury as does Wayne Andrews. Adam Virgo has a partial rupture of a crucuate ligament in his knee. Robert Page is still struggling with his back whilst Jay Tabb had an operation for a hernia on Wednesday.

New signing Kevin Kyle could make his debut.

Andy Marshall said to the club website: "We have to put that (Hereford) behind us and we'll train and prepare ahead of Saturday to regain our confidence. "We'll be looking to go out with a positive attitude and be strong-minded and try to win the game, that's how it has to be. "They've had a tough start and will be a little low on confidence and we will have to stand up and be counted if we are to get anything from the game."
Hull's David Livermore who is expected to play on Saturday said about the game: "Coventry are another good side. They are a big club and have invested some money and if they get it right they could put in a challenge so it will be another tough game for us."

Phil Parkinson may give Ben Burgess another run-out after the forward scored against Tranmere in midweek. Damien Delaney has a long term injury.

HOW TO GET THERE
CCFC Coach: Adult non member £22, Concession non member £19, Adult Season ticket holder £17, Concessions £11, Disabled £14. Coaches will depart the Ricoh Arena (Car Park C) at 10am.

To get there from Cov, M69 to M1 North, get M1 off at Junction 32 follow M18 East, travel the length of the M18 (ignore the M180 that takes you to the yellowbellies at Grimbsy) and join M62 East (going right)at the end joining on M62 junction 35 go to the end of the M62 which turns into the A63 after junction 38 at North Cave.

This is 'The Road to Hull!' On the A63 travel straight into Hull. take care at the road works at Welton / Melton where the signs tell you to slow down, if you don't you WILL be zapped by speed cameras, when you see the signs for Hull don't get off the A road before you go under the Humber Bridge follow the signs for the KC stadium, again observe the speed limit as there are mobile speed cameras all down the stretch of Road known as 'Clive Sulliavan Way' which stretches alongside the river.

Towards the end of the long duel carraigeway you will go past a retail park on your right next to the River called 'St Andrews Quay' where there's a big BandQ, Cinema and Bowling Alley, just after here you are asked to slow down again, (this is where most of the speed cameras are), as you come towards a tight left hand curve in the road which rises up a fly over. Before reaching the fly over get in the inside lane and go down the slip road at the side next to JCT 6000, (or whatever its called)and follow signs to Hull HRI Hospital.

When you're on the slip road, which last 250 yards or so - Madel Street - you will come to an island, ignore the first exit, (Hessle Road), take the straight on exit down Rawlings Way - the hospital is straight infront of you. At the end of this road at the mini island turn left onto Anlaby Road A1105 driving away from the Town Centre and Hospital.

Then drive along Anlaby Road, go over the flyover keeping in the Right hand lane. At the bottom of the flyover turn right at the lights down Walton St which leads to the KC stadium . You can park up the KC stadium then walk across to the Gemtec Arena.

From the West
Approach Hull from the M62, which leads straight onto the A63. Continue on the A63 under the Humber Bridge. The road continues into the A63 Clive Sullivan Way. Continue along Clive Sullivan Way. Turn off onto the slip road just before the fly-over, sign-posted 'Local Traffic/Infirmary' and for KC Stadium. At the roundabout, take the second exit "Rawling Way". At the next main set of traffic lights (and with the Hospital in front of you), take a left turn onto A1105 Anlaby Road. Continue over the fly-over. At the foot of the fly-over, take a right turn into Walton Street.

The Walton Street car park is located just over half way down this street after the Sports Arena.

From the North Take the A1079 towards Beverley then follow signs for the Humber Bridge and the A164. Take the A63 sign-posted Hull City Centre. Continue on the A63 under the Humber Bridge. The road continues into the A63 Clive Sullivan Way. Continue along Clive Sullivan Way. Turn off onto the slip road just before the fly-over, sign-posted 'Local Traffic/Infirmary' and for KC Stadium. At the roundabout, take the second exit "Rawling Way" At the next main set of traffic lights (and with the Hospital in front of you), take a left turn onto A1105 Anlaby Road. From the East & Hull Docks
The A165 approaches Hull from the East Coast and onto Holderness Road. Follow signs for A63/M62 Leeds At the second large roundabout on the A63 Garrison Road, continue over Myton Bridge straight onto A63 Castle Street Continue along the A63. Just before the flyover, take the slip road signposted "Infirmary/Anlaby A1105", and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto 'Rawling Way. At the next main set of traffic lights (and with the Hospital in front of you), take a left turn onto A1105 Anlaby Road. Continue over the fly-over. At the foot of the fly-over, take a right turn into Walton Street.
The Walton Street car park is located just over half way down this street, just after the Sports Arena.

Park and Ride
Hull City advise visiting fans to use the 'Park and Ride' facility based at Prioy Park. Priory Park is situated next to the Clive Sullivan Way coming into Hull and buses run to and from the KC Stadium every ten minutes. The cost is £1 return.
