It’s make or break time for the Sky Blues. Victory against Brighton & Hove Albion at Highfield Road tomorrow and against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday will boost City chances of avoiding relegation, whereas defeat means the League One trap door gets ever nearer.

City boss Micky Adams has defender Adie Williams struggling against injury whilst Stuart Giddings is ruled out for the rest of the season. Richard Duffy and Robert Page who have both involved in international action with Wales, should both play if they have returned without injuries.

Stern John could be left out of the starting line-up. The striker has endured gruelling flights to Guatemala and back from Trindidad and may be given a place on the bench by Adams who will remember the boos, John received that last time he played for his country.

Shaun Goater may take his place and there may be a slot for Lloyd Dyer. Luke Steele will be recalled in goal with Kevin Pressman covering on the bench.

Stephen Hughes is likely to be recalled after sitting out the Sunderland game due to flu.

Brighton boss Mark McGhee says his side have nothing to fear from the Sky Blues who are just three points below them.

The former Leicester and Millwall boss may give debuts to Joe Dolan and Alan Blayney who joined on loans last week from Millwall and Southampton respectively.

Another former Millwall player Mark McCammon has shaken off a virus and should play.

Out is Richard Carpenter who is serving a three game ban.

Tickets are still available and season ticket holders can bring a guest for £10 or £5 if they are eligible for the concessionary rate.

City U18’s face Arsenal at the Alan Higgs Centre at 11am, whilst on Sunday, Coventry City play their biggest game of the season when bottom side Tranmere Rovers visit Sphinx Drive at 2pm. Tranmere are two points behind the Sky Blues and Mark Phillips knows that defeat for the Sky Blues cannot be an option.
