Crystal Palace versus City Reserves Preview

Last updated : 15 February 2005 By Covsupport

City Reserves face a tough trip to Selhurst Park tonight. Crystal Palace lie second in the table, seven points behind the leaders Charlton Athletic whilst the Sky Blues are in a respectable seventh position.

Manager Alan Cork has doubts about keeper Scott Shearer who was withdrawn from the first team’s game with Burnley on Saturday, Academy captain and keeper Jonny Tuffey may deputise if Shearer has not recovered in time.

An injury was also the cause of Craig Pead’s omission from last weeks defeat by Derby County and the midfielder could return.

Claus Jorgensen is another who may feature. The Faroe Islander sat out the Burnley game whilst he tried to sort himself out following the death of his brother in law.

The Eagles, who beat Chelsea 1-0 last time out, field a side which includes keeper Julian Speroni, Danny Butterfield, Tony Popovicand Neil Shipperley.
