ON THE GAME
CCFC Academy Director Steve Ogrizovic said: "It's a really big game for the lads, particularly as most of them will be playing at their new stadium for the first time. "They are really looking forward to it and are going into the game with the confidence from a comfortable victory at the weekend.

"These games are traditionally well supported by the fans who will be getting their first glimpse of the latest crop of under-18s. "I know that a lot of people like to pick out players they think show a lot of promise and whom they hope to see in the first team one day, and we are looking to see who can play on the big stage."

"We have got to give Southend the full respect they deserve and we know it is going to be a tough game. "They have had some good results this year and our boys will be under no illusions that only their best will do on the night if they want to progress."
