WHO ARE THEY?
Formed in 1884 by members of Derbyshire County Cricket Club as a way of boosting finances. Derby were founder members of the Football League and won their first game 6-3 away at Bolton Wanderers.

Their home games were played at the Racecourse Ground until 1895 when they moved to the Baseball Ground. There they stayed for 102 years before moving to the 33,597 capacity Pride Park.

Derby have won what is now the Premiership on two occasions in 1971/72 and 1974/75 under Brian Clough and then Dave McKay. They have been runnersw-up on four occasions. The Rams have also won Division 2 on four occasions, the last being in 1986/87 and won Division 3 North in 1956-57.

Derby won the FA Cup in 1946 but lost the 1898,1899 and 1903 finals.They have also won the Texaco Cup and were runners up in the Anglo Italian Cup of 1993.

Derby's record win came in a UEFA Cup game where they beat Irish side Finn Harps 12-0 at home. Another European Cup game in 1974 saw them beat Real Madrid 4-0 at home but lose the second leg 5-0 in a highly controversial game.

Their current manager is Billy Davies who took over in June replacing Phil Brown.

RECENT FORM
City lost 1-0 at Stoke City on Monday whilst Derby .beat West Brom 2-1. City are 11th in the league with Derby 8th.

This will be the 69th game between the two sides. City have won on twenty six occasions with sixteen draws.

The last league game between the two sides saw City record their biggest win at the Arena so far with a 6-1 victory on January 21 2006. Paul Peschisolido,who also scored in the final game at Highfield Road which Derby lost 6-2, put the visitors ahead inside two minutes. Stern John levelled in the fifth minute. The Trinidadian scored two minutes in to the second half with Dennis Wise, Dele Adebola and Gary McSheffrey scoring twice.

Mikkel Bischoff,David McNamee,Kevin Thornton and Stuart Giddings are out. Matt Heath is on loan to Leeds and Robert Page will captain the side.

For Derby, Mo Camara misses the game through suspension. Paul Boertien or Richard Jackson could deputise. Former Sky Blue's Marc Edworthy and Stephen Bywater are expected to start.

The currently appointed referee is Lee Probert. His assistants are D.J.Birkett and K.G.Evans. The fourth official is J.L.Cox. HOW TO GET THERE
By car: Leave the M6 at junction 3. Take the A444 towards the City centre and at the first island go left and you will see the Ricoh Arena on your right.
By rail: For all train information call National Rail Enquiries on: 08457 48 49 50, but be warned Coventry station is a £10+ taxi ride away. Take the 27 bus from the train station get off at Pool Meadow bus station and catch the 4 or 5 service. Or go out of doors and over the road by Sainsburys and get the 20, getting off the by Tescos.

Parking: Car parking is extremely restricted around the ground. Supporters are advised that there is only park and ride site to the south of the city at the Jaguar car plant.

Ash Green has come under the same match day parking restrictions as Foleshill,Holbrooks and Longford. The area is just the other side of the Warwickshire border and was not affected by the 2km parking zone around the Arena. Now householders in Ash Green must get a permit to park outside their property on match days as Warwickshire Police will be enforcing a parking ban with a £60 fine for those parking without a permit.

AWAY SUPPORTERS PARKING
Car parking around the Ricoh Arena is strictly limited.
However, there is a designated away supporters car park, situated around five minutes walk away from the ground. The car park is secure and cost is £5 - but spaces are limited to just 100.

Directions: M6 to junction 3. Take 3rd exit if coming from north or 1st exit if travelling from the south. At the 2nd roundabout, take the 2nd exit, under the railway bridge, through the first set of traffic lights, and pass the pedestrian lights. At the next set of lights, turn right into Blackburn Road and the car park is at the top of the road.
